When winter comes do i leave the run door open?

So as winter will come (darn) I need to know what to do with my flock. Currently the run door is open. But once it's below freezing do I open the run? What do I do?

We live in Central alberta if that helps.

If there is already a thread I'd love to read it instead of making another one.

Chickens tolerate cold much better than heat. What is worst for them is a closed up coop that is not well ventilated. The reason is that the humidity that they put out builds up and makes them much more prone to frostbite.
