Oops auto corrected chickens to Christmas

Hahaha oh dear, yes those scratching feet are plant destroyers. Have you considered replanting your lawn with more robust species? I have my lawn in multiple clover species, multiple grass species and a fair amount of herb type species (plus weeds I don't want....). Both cool season and warm season species so there is always green. It holds up much better to the great scratching feet, and gives them more variety to eat. I also don't mow it short, and let it grow to about 4 inches at least between mowing. Depends on how horrified your neighbors will be though I suppose!

I had grass until November - when it went dormant. Now there is nothing. Now I have to figure out how to manage foraging so I can replant grass.
