Where are all the honey bees?

I live in East TN and spend a lot of time in the garden and yard…I’ve barely seen any honey bees this year

This issue has been on my radar for a couple years. I was going to get bees in 2020, then Covid came along and I got chicks instead. So this year, we got bees.

That doesn't answer your question, I know. I want to keep bees to make sure there are some in my area. Pollination is just too important. Last year I saw some bumble bees, and just hoped that the honeybees were out and about too.

I have seen the bumble bees on the flowers I expected to see my honey bees. It still seems like everything is going ok in the hive, but we're very new to this.

Our's are are a 100 yrds away jumpiing on the Cranberry bloom that is just starting.
