Where can I adopt ex battery hens?

Hello all, I’ve read about people adopting ex commercial layers and I haven’t had much success finding a source local to me. I live in Florida but wouldn’t mind traveling a little bit if necessary. I’d love to give some of these lovely ladies a soft landing! Thanks in advance.

Not going to find any in Florida. You will not legally be able to import them either. Florida is the 8th largest mass producer in USA. They are all debeaked. They use ISA browns they live only three years naturally usually. Hens are slaughtered before attaining the age of two. As a consumer you will not find these Hens available to you. Florida requires NPIP and Avian influenza certs to import you won't get them from a commercial farm.
