where can I buy grit for baby chicks???

You can buy the plain parakeet grit at walmart in the pet dept. You want to be sure it's the plain, as there is also a calcium fortified grit sold.

you can get from tractor supply. it will be red they put the color in it so the chicks can see it and they also put anise in it, it helps with gas or stomach

Yep, I use sand or dirt. Never bought chick grit.

yes!!! or just get some dirt from your yard. we have a creek close by and we get sandy dirt from the creek. DO NOT USE THE PLAY SAND THEY SELL AT THE BUILDING SUPPLY STORES.(the kind in the plastic bag) Sand like they use for concrete mixing works well also.
