I was looking up Runner duck colors because I want to get atleast one runner. I miss having them. And I was wondering first of all what color is this? I like the classic brown.

Now, where can I get a lavender runner:

Or a Silver Wild Runner (bottom of page):

Thanks!

Sorry I can't answer your question for you but I am getting a lavender runner duck soon... she is at a park very close by my house and she is skinny and little and being picked on by the other ducks so I want to rescue her.. I didn't even know there was such thing as lavenders before but I found out that she was lavender when I looked at that same picture that you posted.. here she is but it's a cell pic so it isn't very clear and doesn't give her justice at ALL. I will post some more pics of her once I get her

I hope you get a runner soon!!

Edited to say that I think the brown ones are called fawns.. at least that's what it said on the website that has that pic...: http://images.google.com/imgres?img.../images?q=indian+runner+duck&gbv=2&hl=en&sa=G although they are in Bali... wherever that is

That duck in your picture is a pretty girl!

I was thinking of getting a blue runner, but I'd love to have a lavender or a silver. Just don't know where to get either of those.

lol. I will! I'm not sure how many runners we'll get though. I personally love them, but my dad might want something a little more friendly. lol. But there'll be atleast one or two runners in the flock.

My runner that I have now isn't the friendliest but that's just because he is a rescue.. the lavender runner at the park, on the other hand, is so friendly and eats out of my hands. IMO, the friendliness of the duck mostly depends on the individual duck, and not the breed.

lol. I bet if I spent enough time with them they would be friendly anyway. I really want to have one that's sort of personalized. I could take him/her out to visit Crayon, the horse and such.

LAvenders are so pretty though, I wish the poultry farms sold them. The closest to lavender I could find was blue.
