Our dog is very much our baby, she sleeps in bed with us , is aloud on furniture, is super tolerant of the kids.
I’m curious if other peoples dog sleeps in bed with them every night, we have a king size bed btw

My dog sleeps in a pen:

Once we forgot to shut the gate for the night, and he came upstairs. I heard him sighing and licking his lips on the stair landing (nearly gave me a heart attack til I realized what it was) so I tried to get him to sleep on my bed. He wouldn’t go to the foot of the bed and he took up like half of it. Finally he went to sleep on my rug.:idunno:lol:

Our dogs sleep in their kennels, which are in the laundry room. On Saturday and Sunday, the routine is for us to get up and let them out of the kennels by 5:30 am. They get their breakfast and a trip outside. We then go back to bed. The dogs are allowed on the bed, but have to stay on top of the comforter or can get between the comforter and blanket. They are not allowed under the top sheet though. This weekend sleep in time lasts for maybe 1/2 to 1 hour, before someone decides it's time to get up for the day.

My ex guard dog has always been an outdoor dog (even before I had her) But bad weather/loneliness I’ve brought her in during the day/over night when needed. She prefers outdoors and gets aggravated when being indoors for a long period of time. Though when she’s forced to be indoors she finds the closest throw blanket, steals it and makes her own “spot” somewhere randomly in the house.

My newer dog, that I got when he was 5 wks old. Was a fully inside dog And slept with me in the bed for the first week or so, when he was old enough I began crate training him asap. He is fully outdoors at the moment (he prefers guarding his chickens over most things) I’m planning on letting him start sleeping indoors again soon. In the bedroom is fine, but the bed is off limits.

He knows his crate as “bed” so when indoors he usually he goes straight there to nap.

It’s always been a big no no for my pets to be on furniture (sofas, beds etc)

My dog sleeps in a dog bed right next to me, but ocassionally I let her nap on my bed, rarely though.
She can not go on furniture unless invited.
