Where/how do your chicks like to be petted?

I was just out hangin' with my little chicky girls, they are 5 weeks old (omg, they can't be that old already!!

)
I put a towel over my lap and proceeded to pick up a few and pet/rub their necks and chests, a couple really liked it and a couple didn't, including the one who likes me best. She wasn't afraid, she just wasn't into it! So where else can I try petting her, and how? A little scratch under the chin? rub with one finger? Two? They make me so happy, I want to be able to pet them and have them enjoy it.
I'm afraid I need some chicken petting lessons! lol

I have 3 that are around 4 1/2 weeks and 2 of them love climbing all over me. The third doesn't even like being picked up, but I think she's brain damaged. Anyway the 2 that climb all over me don't care if I pet them or not. I think they think my hands are auto treat dispensers, though. Ha!
