where is my black marans tail?

I have an 8 week old black marans roo that has never held its tail up. His tail points downward. I do not know if he is sick or misformed or if this in normal behavior as I am new to BYC. Can anyone advise? I am sorry I don't have a better picture! He is the one in the back and his tail is always down like that.

8 weeks is pretty young. Generally the tail feathers doesn't come fully in until they are close to full grown size.

I was able to get a better picture of Zoro. It’s not that he doesn’t have tail feathers, it’s that his tail points downward. Is he sick?

The true tail feathers haven't come in. When they do I assume they will be more upright. Give him time.
