Where on earth can you buy chickens at after spring??

I am new to BYC. I found out about them through facebook and I really enjoy their posts. I have been raising chickens for two years now. I recently bought some barred rock babies this spring, but I have lost several to snakes. Got the snakes, but now I would like to get some more young chickens to replace the ones that I lost.

All of the feed stores are done selling chicks for the season. Now What??

I suggest heading over to your state thread or the buy sell trade section. I hope you find some babies!

Ideal chickens is where all my local feed stores get theirs. My first chics came from my pet chicken. Both r online hatcheries. You could check the hatch dates. Good luck

Have you considered hatcheries? I have some chicks that are at least four weeks old, coming from a hatchery in July. When they are a little older they are feathered out and no longer require a brooder. Also, another advantage is that you can order as few as you want. You are not limited to large numbers.
