Where should I get my first chickens from?

Here is a few to call and see what they will do for you. I think some will sell you 10 or even less I heard.

thank you everyone for your advice!! I have found a local feed store that is selling orpingtons but no cochins.

Are they Buff Orpingtons? So are you planning to get 10 Buff Orpington hens, or will you have a rooster in your flock? Or maybe something else?

What I want is to get cochin and orpington large fowl hens, then get one bantam rooster. That way I have a rooster, but he won't be able to tear up my hens.

The "real" feed stores here started two weeks ago!

But TSC is next week.

TSC is starting tomorrow. The other feed stores around here have already started but none so far have cochins.

TSC doesn't know if they will have cochins.
