Where should my guinea sleep?

We have a 3 month old guinea. We had no intentions of getting one, but the neighbors guineas laid eggs in my yard and my daughter found her being attacked by a mocking bird just after she hatched. At night, she sleeps in a nesting box with a perch. But she tends to sleep on the floor in her own poop. We just built her a run, but I refuse to put her out there at night due to bears, coyotes, and panthers. Besides the fact that she doesn't even like being in the run during the day. We paid quite a bit of money for the nesting box so we want to keep it, but we are willing to add onto it if that keeps her from sleeping in her own poop. Any suggestions would be highly appreciated!

Since your neighbors have guineas, my recommendation is to give the guinea to them. Guineas are a flock bird and do best with a large group of their own kind.

They don't want her...we took her to them when my daughter found her. So we are doing the best we can and we are very attached to her. Thanks for the advice, but it wasn't the advice I was looking for.

She's up there quite a bit. Other times she just lays on the floor...in her own poop. But we will definitely take your advice and see if we can get her out of that habit. Thanks so much!

I struggle with some of my chickens sleeping in their own poop too, I just have to keep putting them on the roost. Whenever they stay on it overnight I call it a win. Can you block off the nesting box holes too maybe? Or maybe block where she usually sleeps on the floor? Just a couple ideas

We've blocked the holes, but where she sleeps on the floor is random. We put her up on the roost several times last night, and we will continue to do so until she stays up there all night. Thanks again!

I would just like to add that we take her out to see the flock every day when they make their rounds. She has absolutely no interest. We are hoping that this will change as she matures. She is out in the yard all day, so she can leave at any time. We just keep her in at night or in her run during the day when we are not home.
