I am very interested in having a couple of peacocks , however , I always do alot of research before I raise an animal Im not familiar with.

Any suggestions on where I could get a couple of eggs .?

What type of incubator to have ?

I live in extremely cold , windy climate so my chickens and ducks are in a 12x20 insulated coop.

I was thinking of sectioning off an area for peacocks but I would like to know how they would get along with year old , established flocks. ?

Thanks guys !

Oh , and what type of feed do they need ?

I answered some of the questions within the quote. These are the short answers. Good luck.

What type of incubator to have ? Peas are more difficult to hatch than chickens, best is cabinet but some hatch in still air styrofoam

Peas will get along with chickens, but your (or anyones) chickens may be carriers of some diseases that peafowl are more susceptible to. It is generally keepers choice whether to keep with chickens, myself I keep my chickens penned separate to minimize that potential disease issue. Hope this helps

Oh , and what type of feed do they need ? Little higher % protein compared to chickens. We give ours 20% plus a treat every once and a while

Thank you much for the valuable info !

I would more than likely , house them seperate from the ducks and chickens.

I am hoping for someone who sells eggs , will pop on in and let me know who you are so I can look further into raising these gorgeous birds !

Thanks again.
