Which breed is the softest you've ever felt?

My silkieXd'Uccle - soft and smooth feathers! Love to pet her, in fact I think she is a lot nicer to feel than straight silkies. JMO.

I agree, I have a cochin and a couple silkies, and other non "fluffy" chickens, but my australorp is so soft. And, she NEVER has a feather out of place, EVER. She just went broody today, and fluffed up like a tom turkey when I tossed her out of the coop. She is the least friendly chicken I have, though, but I think she's is the prettiest.​

I have some fluffy chickens but the softest, most silken feeling feathers I've ever felt were from a little hen that was a cross of my Serama rooster and bantam Araucana hen. It was buttery soft!
