Which breed?

I'm trying to decide on what breed of poultry I want to get.

Should I get a:
1. Chukar partridge
2. Coturnix quail
3. Dove or pigeon (anyone know of a good breed for a beginner?)
4. Black magpie duck
5. White runner duck

Anyone have any opinion on which one I should get? What are the pros and cons of each?

It really depends on your goals. If I were to guess I'd say you want meat. I would do jumbo quail but that's just me. I'm going to start them in a couple months. I'm sure no matter what you pick it will be a fun experience.

I haven't and won't ever raise for meat. I want to raise them for show and pets. I'm planning on getting a pair of homing pigeons.

If your raising for pet and show I'd say White Runner and Black Magpie. However, please be aware these breeds can be trickier to show. Runners need to be of good stock with proper stance. Also Magpies can be tricky for judging due to markings being hard for some to breed to the standard
