I have four pullets in a hen house. Two are 19 weeks old and two are twelve weeks old.
It’s time to start the older ones on laying food but the other two are too young. What to do??

Put a container of Oyster Shells in a separate container.
Also have a separate container of Poultry Grit available so the 12 week olds don't substitute the Shells for Grit.

Keep feeding the Starter-Grower till the young girls are 18 weeks, or start to lay. GC

My problem is keeping the 12 week olds from eating the organic layer.
The big difference between Layer feed and Starter-Grower is the Calcium.
The Starter-Grower feed has everything a chicken needs to lay eggs except the Calcium.
So just offer Oyster Shells in a separate container.
Feed the Starter-Grower to everyone till the youngsters are laying.
