Which fridge should I buy?

My current fridge is slowly dying. It’s about ten years old(don’t even get me started on planned obsolescence) and has been occasionally leaking, there is a recurrent problem with the defrost, and multiple drawers have cracks in them. Anyway, since I know it’s going I have been looking at my options. I think I am leaning toward either a GE (gfe26jemds) or an LG (lfxs26973d). My current fridge is a cheaper GE so that is making me hesitant to purchase another one, I want something that will LAST. Any thoughts on which is a better brand fridge? Any better suggestions?

My “must haves” include:

1)external ice/water dispenser-does not need to be huge capacity for ice

2)black in color- actual finish can vary

3)2 gallons of milk must be able to fit in the door preferably in the same shelf

4)prefer ice contained in the door so it doesn’t take up shelf space

5)shelves/drawers that glide smoothly and are built substantial enough to take some minor abuse from the family

6)36”wide, 70”tall max (standard size)

7)side by side or French door- no full size doors as this won’t fit well in my space.

Thanks all! I know I can trust everyone here, it’s hard to just read reviews on line cuz I never know if those are real, and the sales people don’t know what they are talking about half the time.

Ooo that one is nice! I’m not 100% sold on the no handle design though as I’m afraid my fam will have it fingerprinted up and dirty in no time.
