Which hatcheries have the best quality birds?

I'm looking for OEGB, millie d'uccles, silkies, favorelles. I would like to get good quality, and I have a terrible time hatching shipped chicken eggs. I would like to get some chicks, but I don't know which hatcheries have the best quality? Can anyone help me?

Are you looking for Show quality birds or just strong, health, pet quality birds

I would like to get show or breeder quality at least. Silkies, it doesn't really matter, but nice birds are always nice to have. I don't plan on showing any (too many diseases

), but would like to have the option, for myself or anyone that buys eggs/chicks from me

okay, well in that case...you may have the best of luck getting show quality silkies (just to have) from some one on this here forum.

Yeah, I pretty much figured that on the silkies, but I know there are some private hatcheries (like sandhill preservation) that sell good quality birds. I was just wondering if there were others that I don't know about

Well Superior Farms is another Great place!

and may i remind you that Sandhill has show stock for only certain breeds...to get all from there is quite risky and time consuming

I'm not so sure about that but some others may have an answer for you...but based on the risk I would get the silkies from people on this forum

I don't think sandhill has d'uccles, I'd have to get them from somewhere else.

Yea that may be true, I would get these birds all from a breeder IMO for the best Quality...but before you do ask members on the forum about the breeder to confirm show quality breeding
