Which is the better breed?? POLL

I'm just curious because I'm wondering if I should have bought silkies over cochins, but I'm also excited about Cochin so i don't know.
What's your thoughts? if you can't decide let me know why in the comments

if you choose 3 or 4 let me know why.

I've never had a Cochin, so I can't say.

I've got Silkies though. Not just the bantam ones.

I've never lost a Silkie in bad weather, whether it's wet, cold, or hot.

Cochin bantams, hands down. Delightfully sassy balls of fluff who never have crests blocking their vision, and they come in silkied varieties anyway so there really is no reason to bother with boring ol' Silkies.

That's my completely unbiased opinion.

Cochin bantams are definitely better! They have the best personalities, and are just ridiculously cute.

It depends on what you mean better. Cochins are lower maintenance than silkies. Silkies have limited visibility because of their afro, and makes them more liable to be caught by predators.

My opinion is based purely off appearance since I've never owned either, but I don't like how silkies look.

I've considered, but have never had, silkies. I have three Cochin Bantam hens and a rooster (along with three full-sized Cochin hens). If I had unlimited space, I would have an unlimited number of Cochins -- in all sizes, colors and featherings.

I cannot imagine anything cuter than my red frizzle Bantam Cochin, Gabby. She was part of a package deal when I went to buy a BLRW from a friend. I was reluctant to get a frizzle because I had heard they didn't deal well with Iowa's frigid winters, but she's been fine through three of them.
