which way to hatch eggs

Hi, I know that I'm a little early asking this but I am gonna try to let my RIR hatch a batch in the spring. Is that a good idea, is RIRs not
good for hathing themselves, and how early do you think I can
do that.

They would do fine if one decided to sit. But being a production breed they don't get it in there head to sit very often. At least mine didn't.
