Hi I have 3 young roosters, RIR, fry pan bargains. 5 months old not breeding yet still have baby voices, all are nice and holdable. 2 at night sleep with an old hen low roost, and the last rooster sleeps with the other hens higher roost, I know that means he is higher ranked. I have a lady who would like one, she has kids. I am thinking a lower ranking rooster, but thought I would ask for input.
My other choice for her could be an EE or an olive egger rooster, but I didn't hold them as much.

I agree a lower ranking roo would be better for kids..but perhaps if the EE is young too, they could hold him...I’m sure they’d prefer his colors. Perhaps you could get ahold of the olive Egger and EE and give a trial run to see if they are manageable? If they are feisty..I’d say no...but if they are young and moldable...I’d let them choose...we got some straight run NHR for $0.10. ...5out of 7 are cockerels.. but they are beautiful, so I’m keeping one and, processing the rest. I won’t buy straight run again.

It really won't matter. The behaviour of which ever you pass on will be determined by the new keepers and their keeping arrangements.

I bought roosters to be packing peanuts for the hens I wanted. I didn't process the 3 because they were smallish and I hoped hens. Trouble with getting boys they over power the pullets, then the pullets grow small.
