This might sound like a silly question, but here goes:
do white chickens look dirty a lot of the time or do they somehow manage to stay mostly white and clean looking? Do the white breeds require some cleaning from time to time, if so, how do you clean them? Or do they keep themselves clean?

Thanks!

My light brahmas look off color from time to time and then they get white again after a good long dustbath.

My one white orp rooster gets alittle yellow tint to his feathers around his neck but otherwise is is really white. My giant white cochin always looks pristine white. they are side by side in coops don't know why gets yellow and one doesn't.

All my chickens look a bit dirty and ragged right before moult, but in general the white birds aren't any dirtier looking than the darker breeds.

However, after a good storm when they've been out in the mud, they are brown around the edges!

I'm mostly on sand so the birds stay very clean. My white Chantecler rooster stays so white he looks fake
