White Broad Breasted questions

I am new to turkeys and was wondering a couple things about Broad Breasted Whites...

They will not reproduce I am told? Why? if it is because of the Tom could I use a different Tom?

BBW can breed once they get old enough to do so , but because they are bred to grow really fast the tom will become to large to get the job done. If you want the hens to be bred just use a younger tom, or a heritage tom.
