Wait, people can get the lice from chickens? I thought chicken lice only stayed on chickens? I've never had lice myself before, which is why I'm asking.

Permectrin dust powder, or Sevin powder for veggies both work well for lice. If I find one louse on one chicken, I powder them all. Chicken lice can't survive on people, the food is not the same

sorry about providing link.i do need to read the rules.i do quartine all new birds for at least 2 weeks.and de bath every 3 or4 days .i love my birds.and would never put any thing on them that would shorten their life.de works in 24 hrs for any external parasites.not weeks..
