White Crested Polish that sits in the nesting box but won't lay!?

This chicken has always layed eggs, she is just a year this April 30th and all of a sudden she seems like she has an egg stuck or she just can't get it out, not sure? She has stayed in the nesting box mostly all day and night. Today is her second day or staying in the box. Any suggestions?

Maybe she's broody...

Is she actively trying to push out an egg, or is she just sitting there pretty calmly? If she is broody, she'll probably growl and screech when you go near. And theres the poops. Don't worry, you'll know them when you see them.

Thanks for the comment! She actually came out of the nesting box a little while ago, drank lots of water and picked at the food. Yes she does make a kind of screech or purr sound when the other chickens come near her and when I come near. She is acting rather strange but now she is out with other girls forging!
I don't have a rooster, so would she still broody? She seems agitated.
