I'm still new at chickens but I know Leghorn and Blue Andalusians lay white eggs.
If you go to hatchery sites like Ideal Hatchery, you can find the lists like white, brown, dark brown, or tinted egg layers.
Isn't that fun???

Welcome to BYC. I too live in Upstate NY, but have brown egg layers.

This is a great link to the different breeds, what they lay, where they are good to keep, etc. You may find that many of the white egg layers are just that, layers, and layers don't produce as long as dual purpose birds. Eggs taste the same though no matter what color or size.
Hope you find this link helpful.
