White Flakes in coop?

I have two coops with different birds in each. Both have white flakes on the floor.

Any ideas what it is? and why the birds are losing it? Is it normal or a health problem?

It's just bits of feather base/quill and entirely normal.

I have half a pound of the stuff in my big coop each day!
