White headed house sparrow. Pictures!

I saw this white headed sparrow today and took a few shots. The pics are not so good since the bird was far away but you can see it's a sparrow with a lot of white in it. Has anyone ever seen a sparrow other then brown?

i work at a zoo and all around the zoo there are sparrows with white tails and wing feathers . they almost look just like yours !!

It started off with just one this spring now there are a few

Is it possible they are crossed with maybe a canary ?

I am an avid bird watcher and have never seen a white house sparrow.
