Outside of Jacksonville, Florida - in the woods!
For anyone that has followed the procurement and hatch of my "Ameraucanas" from Hilltop Farms, you'll know the hatch went great and some lovely birds were the result.....but not what was sold to me or expected.

Post-hatch, the hatchery owner conveyed that after I sent him pictures of what should have been pure Ameraucana self-blue (lavender) birds, that it was likely a rogue rooster made his way into the lavender Ameraucana pen. With that said, I'm looking for anyone in the Jacksonville/Orange Park/Middleburg/surrounding cities that might be interested in a very pretty and super-friendly rooster to enrich their Easter Egger mix lines. I'm only doing Ameraucana and Ayam Cemani (separate for now) projects, so this guy doesn't fit into either. I very much wish he did!!

He has green legs and a non-pea comb variant (still trying to pin down what it is, as it's a little different). He has a nice beard and muffs after his mother. He also has a great disposition and wonderful traditional clear crow.

Please note, I am also OK with someone eating him as well as a last option, as long as the dispatch is humane. I can't eat animals I've gotten to know and named - - been there done that, and it still bothers me to this day. I would rather have him try to go to a new home where he could bring some joy vs being eaten, but again, I'm OK with the latter if it comes to it.

I would also be willing to add a hen to the deal (for free) that is also an EE variant of the same hatch. She is an exceedingly sweet bird (her name is Raptor) and she lacks bear/muffs but likely will still lay colored eggs. She is a solid self-blue color with slate legs and white-bottomed feet. She is in the second picture with White Knight.

Don't mind the bit of dirt on his wing - he's an avid dust bather and is a little dirty.

Facts:
1) Hatchery advised the mother is a true Ameraucana (I do believe this as most of the birds I do have appear to have been bred true)
2) These birds have never been exposed to any other poultry (I have only hatched NPIP certified shipped eggs and not exposed my flocks to outside "pre-hatched" birds for lack of a better word)
3) Hatched by yours truly (me) on May 10, 2022
4) All birds are sound of health, to the best of my knowledge; I have kept poultry/animals for many years - these guys have been super-healthy as little horses and never displayed any sign of any illness whatsoever
5) Both birds are puppy-like and never have shown any aggression toward humans

I'm not in a huge rush to move him out, just whenever I find someone that is very interested in him - - or last ditch choice, when I'm ready for my Ameraucana project breeding, to give him to someone to eat him.
