White Leghorn hen or Black Rock hen?

So at the moment I have: A Light Sussex, a Bluebell & three ex-battery hens.

I'd love to extend the coop and add some more hens to my little gang!

So far I think I'm going to get an Amber Link, a Magpie and adopt two more battery hens, but for the fifth hen I can't decide between a White Leghorn or a Black Rock... I have to get one of these breeds because my parents only let me buy from a certain breeder because we know them, and these are the two I like the most out of their selection... but I really can't decide which one!

I'm looking for a hen that doesn't mind being handled and lays good quality eggs, but the number of eggs doesn't matter.

Black Rocks generally have a calmer disposition than the White Leghorns, so that would be my pick.

Unless you get the leghorn as a chick and handle it all the time you probably wont be able to catch it. Friendly just standoffish.

I'd go with the Rock for pet factor demeanor your looking for.
