I have raised a number of different breeds for egg laying but nothing Ive found compares to a white leghorn for regular and long term egg production. I have three 4 year old girls in my flock who are still laying regularly, even in mid January. I wish they werent so high strung and skidish, not to mention plain old white. I was thinking about getting brown, or even silver leghorns for the color variety. What do folks think about the egg laying capacity of the brown and silver compared to the white?
