I have 6 mutts in my flock and that's not counting the EEs and they are also really just mutts.

I am new and from Kansas. I am new to chickens, and absolutely love my little flock. I have just ordered new chickies and can't wait for them to get here. I had until 3 days ago 9 hens. Found someone on craigslist who had 2 hens and a rooster, got them home and wasn't sure how the new Man would do. He is huge! But he is extremely gentle and we have had no trouble with him at all. And one of my new females is laying already, and her egg today was jumbo sized. My babies started laying at 5 months. I was so proud of my little over-achievers

Right now I have a variety of greenish eggs and pink and brown. Every day I smile as I go to talk to my babies.
