Can you breed a female meat turkey to a regular male turkey? I Have heard that the meat Tom's can't breed. I want to breed a larger turkey for the table. Thanks!

I have not raised turkey but have been researching it. From what I have read, it is the fast growth and the large bulk and size of the white turkeys that prevent them from breeding.

Like I said, no experience, just what i read. Hope it helps.

Yes you can breed a female meat turkey to a regular male. We have a broad breasted white hen that has successfully reproduced with a heritage tom.
