White Muscovy ducklings - Get invloved or not??

Recently we have had two White Muscovy ducks on our property. They are beautiful to watch and entertaining to interact with.

The female has been stealing food from our chickens here and there for the past month. Because they all get along, I don't mind. However, the female has nested in an empty concrete dog house that is attached to our house.

My husband and I decided that we would let her stay because she is not bothering anyone. She stays on her eggs all day and night. We also agreed that we would not do anything special for her and her ducklings because we believe the Muscovys came from a neighboring property so we are trying not to take them in as our own "pets"

After doing some research, I am fearful for the survival of the ducklings. I feel as though I may not be able to fight the urge to care for the ducklings by giving them the appropriate food & shelter they need.

We have two mature RIRs who can be a bit pushy with our younger hens and roos and I fear they may even be a threat. Not to mention the predator issues we have had with raccoons, possums and LARGE black snakes infiltrating our coop.

Any advice would be much appreciated. Especially from someone with Muscovy experience.

I have sown Muscovies that just came to my graden and decided to stay so now they are ours and they don't try to leave. If you they are in your property and you think the ducklings might be in danger you could try and keep them safe and give them food but I wouldn't take them away from the mother. Otherwise you could just leave it to nature and hope the Muscovy is a good mother
