Here is my question. Are White Orpingtons a mean chicken? I have about 70 chicks all are 7 to 8 weeks old. They have been raised together and until now they have all got along. They have been moved in with my two year old hens 4 silver Laced and one Marans with no problem from the hens. In the last two days I have had to remove two chicks one Buff Brahma and one Silver laced Cochin because they have bloody these two chicks so bad. I have never had White Orpingtons, but have had the buff with no problems. I will be separating the White Orpingtons tomorrow and may be rehoming if they will not get along as they get older. I know that by removing them for a period of time they revert to the bottom of the pecking order, will this help.
