At the Durham Fair today we saw a White Orpington
and 2 White Standard Frizzles. They were gorgeous.

I wish I had a camera. I got the names of the owners and
hope to aquire some eggs.

Purple were the Orps exhibition size?. I am looking for some White Orps in the very large size. Would it possible to share the breeders Name with me.? Thanks JUlie

Julie,

Yes, they were full size. She looked almost exactly like my Buff Orp, just white.

I left my name and number for the owner to contact me. Hopefully they are breeders.
If they contact me I'll email you with the info. I only have names, no phone numbers,
so I'm hoping they call me.

Don

That fair is the most popular in CT. By noon it was so crowded I couldn't
take anymore. I started getting that "I'm gonna snap" feeling.
I did get to teach my son how to navigate a crowd European style,
don't go around people, go through them.

Nice chicken display. Clean cages, nice folks, lots of breeds.

wife is from Ledyard, and thier fair always had doodlebug pulls, log truck sortof things they would dead pull thousands of pounds on concrete, only 10 feet or so, sort of like tractor pulls but not long pulls. seen them there and in Preston Fair(I think) talked to people at fair and they said it was done at most fairs up there. I never saw them till in CT.
I prefer tractor and truck pulls with adjustable sled.

Thanks Don, I hope you hear from them. I have friends that have two extraordinarily large beautiful white Orp hens and they need a Roo. I have a gorgeous Mottled Roo that is going to be huge. They have the hen he came out of and are going to give her to me to work on that color. I am so excited. I should have her by Thanksgiving if everything goes well.
