Your Khaki Campbell ducks are friendly? I've had 10 of them and not one would take a treat from my hand. I keep hoping I'll find a friendly duck someday, but so far I've had no luck. They all run from me like I'm the monster who tries to eat them, rather than the guy who watched them hatch and has cared for them every day since. I keep reading about ducks that act like dogs or something, but I've never seen anything like that from my own birds.

Some of our chickens, on the other hand, are very sweet. They run from across the yard when they see us coming. I've often remarked that while the chickens will see us and come running, the ducks will see us and *go* running.

Lol yeah it seems like chickens are less afraid of everything.
Yes the khakis are a week and a half old. I have had them one week today. When i take the lid of they come to my hand immediately. I feed them crushed up mealworms as treats . And they gobble them up from my hand.
And they get excited and start peeping when i talk to them.
I spend quite a bit of time with them each morning and evening. And let them swim in the bathtub every eveing, while i sit and watch.
I also have 10 runner ducks that arrived wednesday by mail. They were a little skittish wed and yesterday. But today are already coming to my hand i love sitting and watching them
