On March 20, I bought what was labeled as 10 "cornish rock" hens. Thinking that they were cornish crosses (they did have the meat bird label on their tub) I prepared myself for my first batch of chickens meant solely for processing. Well, the ended up NOT being meat chickens. In fact, not only are they not plump and fat but they are still flying. So, I'm thinking that they may be white rocks instead but here is the thing; they all have ROSE combs rather than the single comb that I see in all of the pictures. Is this possible?

Nope, no pics. I don't have a way to take one. These are VERY thin white chickens with yellow legs and rose combs. At 3/5 months, one is already laying HUGE eggs. Just started this week. One was so big I couldn't close the egg carton. I did find another pullet egg in the coop yesterday so I think another one is starting too.

Just looked up the white wyandottes, mine are way to compact to be them. Plus the comb is too big compared to my girls. The closest that I've found look wise are rhode island whites but I know they are rare so that couldn't be what they are.
