Yesterday 7 AM I opened up my chicken shack to let them out for the day and the first chicken to jump on the ramp had a white rubber substance, the size of 2 quarters sticking out of her mouth. I picked her up and tugged on it. It didn't budge. It seemed like maybe it was like a herniated throttle- of something. Concerned, I brought to her the carrier to put herside so I could watch her and while I was struggling w the latch she started to struggle, I turned my attention back on her and the white thing was gone. I retraced my steps to see if it had fallen on the ground but saw nothing. Other that this curious thing- she seems fine- perky and shine and as of today it has not reappeared. I have 4 chickens, she is about 1 year old. Anyone have a similar experience?
