White silkie chickens red skin, feather loss - mites?

Hi there,

First time posting as we have recently picked up two white silkie hens and 2 Muscovy ducks

In the last day or so one of the silkies seems to have red irritated skin and missing fluff around the back of it's neck and top of head, is this likely a mite issue? Some yellowing of feathers around there.

Looks very nasty to me but they are white so probably show the irritation more obviously?

The chickens are unknown age but only a few months old as far as I know. They have never been treated for mites or anything similar, and are outdoor free ranging chickens with a coop for night time.
