Morning all. My soul, my two white sussex pullets are like velociraptors! They are wild to get food and constantly hyper active 😂 literally nothing makes them happy. I have them in a make shift 13ft Sq pen while they grow up and get used to the hen we have.
Any suggestions on keeping them busy?
I'm like, this is a docile breed? Blimey they are wild 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I just looked up the breed characteristics. They’re very active and like to forage. What about getting them some live food like crickets? It will allow their velociraptor natures to hunt and give them activity as well. They should calm down a bit with maturity.
Nice dark brahma hen! I have one as well and she is my favorite.

That's a good idea on the crickets. I remember getting some for my other orpington girls before and they were so not interested 😂 but I know these two hooligans will have fun. The hen Harriet I was told is a Buff orpington but I think she has other mixes in her for sure. She's lovely but a dash cranky of late with the newbies. Thanks for the reply.

You're welcome. I looked at Harriet again; she is definitely more than all Brahma. Her head looks Brahma-like, but that fluffy bum is all BO.
Let me know how the cricket-fest goes.

I just looked up brahma on pinterest and it makes so much sense! I tell u, I paid a fortune for her and her sister at a breeder. U never know until they grow up haha
But I'm not phased. Love them irrespective.
I'll keep u updated on the velociraptors. They have been playing escape tricks on me today. So wicked.
