Everybody's favorite is Peeper, because she lets you pet her, hug her, and generally show her you love her without a single complaint. She is also the only chicken we hatched ourselves, which is probably why she's so friendly (between the imprinting and only chick-ness).

However, Flapod is a close second, because she is always the first to greet you at the door or gate. She was also an only chick.

They may both come into the house on occasion. . .

I always liked this guy too because of his coloring. Some kind of bantam cochin frizzle. He was a victim of the coyote wars sadly.

I don't have a recent picture of her (I'll try to get one tomorrow) but our head hen Bitty is my favorite.
She's a blue bresse; the oldest and smallest of the flock and unquestionably queen bee. She has a giant comb that flops over one eye, and as if to compensate, her tail is crooked and juts out in the opposite direction. She takes precisely zero nonsense from anyone. I love her sass.

Tough decision… My favorite bird of all time had to have been Blue, the Andalusian. She was so full of character and was a total diva (had to be hand fed her scratch every day). My current living favorite is probably Flappy, the barred rock. She was from the same group of chicks as blue so she’s an older lady and has a cataract in her left eye but she’s never let that get her down and has never stopped chattering

This was sweet Blue. I oddly don’t have a picture of Flap but will probably take some soon.
