We got this little cutie from Tractor Supply. I think it's a silkie. Maybe a buff or a partridge silkie? It was in the assorted bantams bin. It is a dark brown color with black feathered legs and five toes. It is very likely and energetic. Based on personality I'm thinking it's a rooster. Thoughts on the breed?

Looks like a partridge silkie. There's no way to tell if it's male or female this young, but if you post pictures when it's about 8-10 weeks old, we will probably be able to tell

I had

I had a feeling it was too young to tell sex. Is it definitely a silkie?

Honestly I am not the best at determining breed when they are this young.
I THINK it is BUT it could be a cochin or other feather footed breed that comes in partridge.....the 5 toes says silkie to me.

Adorable!
Thank you! I thought so too. I'm having the hardest time figuring out what this little one is. I like the mystery though and I can't wait to see what it looks like when it grows up. The kids named it Winnie the Pooh or Winnifred or Winnie. ♥️

Silkie, pattern is off for partridge though. I'm not real sure what your going to end up with.
I thought so too. That's why I was wondering if anyone recognized it. Maybe it's a mix of a silkie and something else? The five toes and black skin makes me think silkie. I will have to post pictures when it's older. :)
