Hello everyone. I joined a few weeks ago, have been reading your forums and you have all been very helpful :) Im hoping you can chime in on my unknown unsexed chickens, there are 5 of them! Ive done some reading and have some ideas on the breed and gender for some...Any help is appreciated.

Chicken 1 (approx. 7 weeks): Pullet. My guess is a Delaware? Very curious and brave chicken.

Chicken 2 (Approx 7 weeks): Cockerel more and more as time foes by. My guess was white leghorn. Or Australorp. Mild temperament.

Chicken 3 (Approx 7 weeks): Cockerel. My first guess is cochin. Kind of a jerk.

Chicken 4 (the black one)(Approx. 5 weeks): Hoping its a pullet. I think the breed is Australorp. Cant really see in the pics but she has kind quite the long neck, dark feet.. Not as evil as appears.

The white one next to her is chicken 5

Chicken 5 (The white one) (Approx 7 weeks): Pullet. Breed?

The beauty next to her is our Lavender Orpington. Better be a hen!

Thats the end. Please help!

Chicken one looks like a light Brahma pullet. Chicken two I really don't know if I had to guess pullet. Chicken three definitely looks like a rooster not sure on the breed though. Chicken number four is kind of hard to tell I would say female I agree with black astrolabe. Chicken number five looks like a female not sure on breed. Your lavender orpington is very pretty and looks to be a hen also. Sorry I am no help with the white chickens breeds.

First one is not a Brahma, bc Brahma have feathered legs and feet and a different comb. So, maybe a Delaware as you suspect (not a breed I know well).

2: could be Leghorn, however they usually have a more obvious comb by this age if male. could be white rock Instead.

3. agree it’s likely a male. Not well versed in Cochins, but the feathered legs/feet are a clue and fit Cochin.

4. could be Australorp or Jersey Giant. What color are the feet Bottoms? Yellow bottoms=JG, and flesh/pink bottoms = Australorp. My JG females had a dark/black comb like this until they were older, while my Australorps had a lighter comb at this age, but not sure if it’s just individual variation.

5: can’t see comb very well. Does not look like single comb, maybe rose comb? Pea comb? Cushion comb? Yellow legs. Can you get better pics of this one? From the side while standing is helpful, with good comb/wattle pic.

6. Agree that could be female Lav Orp. But, not a great pic to really see the whole bird.

Hello, thank-you for the reply. I have some updated pictures Im hoping now they are a bit older it might be more obvious their breed and gender? thanks :)
