Who breeds brown red Ameraucanas?

You can search the NPIP website by state:

http://www.poultryimprovement.org/statesContent.cfm

They use stock codes. It appears that Brown Red Ameraucanas are listed only under Bantam class:

Whereas, full-size/large breed list does not contain that version:

Well that's incorrect because APA has them in large fowl.

Not incorrect. NPIP and APA are different and for different purposes.

NPIP lists non-APA “breeds” like EE. Likely because someone is NPIP and has that type.

Whereas, the APA must be petitioned (etc) for a new breed or coloration to be allowed as a recognized breed with specific guidelines and standards.

So it's ok for npip to not have an approved variety but have EEs?

NPIP status indicates a few things. Your flock has been inspected and tested And is free from x, y, z etc. you can ship chicks and birds, your flock is of a certain size to get NPIP, and you follow certain guidelines. However, I’m not NPIP but find their resources helpful.

APA is also about the recognized breeds and conforming to breed standard, etc.

So, EE won’t show up on the APA as it is not a recognized breed. But, a breeder or hatchery can be NPIP inspected to sell/ship chicks and birds, such as EE.

What happened to my post? I know what NPIP is and I am an APA member.

Again I breed brown red Ameraucanas and am looking for other breeders.
