Who Else is Ready for Fall/Winter?!

Who else is ready for fall and winter!? I love that time of year - especially the snow and changed leaf colors! Also, what are you doing to prepare for fall and winter? Any tips? So basically this is the place to talk about your fall/winter preparations! I'll start.

I'm working on putting all the feed bags from this spring/summer and putting them down the walls of the chicken coop. And cleaning up all the feed bowls that the chickens rolled down the hill into the weeds, and building little roosts outside so they have a place to get their feet out of the snow, also fixed the gates and fence so they can't escape - but they find a way. Mine have been flying on the roof and trees and then jumping out! - Any ideas on how to stop them?

I love fall. It's such a beautiful time of year. I'm basically ready. Just need to get the birds to actually use the coop. They are being turds. My dog Sarah is missing her odd pups. She has figured out how to push open the upper gate to the run and likes to stick her head in to watch the birds. I've got to fix that issue.
When the chick's were in the house she would sit next to the chicken play palace for hours watching them.

I want to start a fall/winter garden but will probably wait until next year.

Yes, always something that needs fixed! That's my same problem, they go to roost in the tree every night and I have to carry them to their coop!

So ready! I love fall. It’s cold, but you can still wear pretty spring clothes. Once winter happens, you must wear at least ten layers, or else you shall freeze!
