So, We had a SQ penciled duck - unfortunately she passed away recently and we'd really like to get another.

so- show me your ducks, and tell me if you got them from a breeder, a hatchery or if you bred them!

Awe! I love it.

I just got ducks for the first time 17 weeks ago. I purchased them from Metzer Farms (in California.) I was really, really worried about the long travel time. I ordered six but lost one just a few days after I got them, a little Saxony. She appeared to have wry neck or something to that effect. When I called Metzer Farms about it they were very helpful and said it was probably from shipping stress. They did refund me the cost of the duckling and I didn’t even ask for them to. Also, my sweet little F/W Runner turned out to be a stinky little boy (said with love — I raised two stinky little boys and they gave me three stinky little grandsons! I love them all dearly!)

Even though Metzer is a wonderful hatchery to deal with, and they have such a large selection of ducks, I believe I want to find ducks closer to me when/if I purchase anymore.
