I agree, and it's taxing to have to run through long, long strings of posts repeated by members who have just pasted the same emoticon or three word greeting phrase on all of the New Member Introduction threads over and over and over and over, ect., again. It's certainly their right to do that if they chose to do so, but it's certainly nicer to see at least a few words of original comments or variety in the greetings. I don't know how many times I've replied to a new member only to find when I went back to my inbox that another member had pasted four or five posts of the same greetings to more new members while I was replying to one new member. By the time they finished posting they will have posted literally dozens of the exact same pasted greeting to every new member on the list for that day.
I would rather do less posts and them be of a more welcoming nature than the same old copy and paste job. I have noticed though since the game jokes fun section no longer counts towards your post count the daily post count has changed to more different members. I've got nothing against the GJF section I participate in few threads there myself.
