Who is Your Friendliest and Who is Most Skittish?

My friendliest is actually a RIR, Stella. She will jump on my back if I bend over. My most skittish would have to be Charlene, an Americana. Both have had similar personalities since they were babies. They are 4 years old now.

I recently got 3 dual purpose, 12 meaties, and 3 Cayuga ducklings. My friendliest are actually the Red Rangers. They love to come and sit in my lap! They're 3 weeks old today, so just popping out in feathers all over and ITCHY. They come to me and bow their heads so I can scritch them in those hard to reach places. *L*

My most skittish is my partridge Rock. She's also so far the tiniest of all the chicks, which is surprising to me given how big Plymouth Rocks are in general. She's about half the size of my Black Australorp, Silver Laced Wyandotte, and even the freebie Golden Laced Polish we got as a freebie chick, and everyone has the same birthday.

Everyone else is not exactly skittish, it's more like their attitude is "Unless you have treats, we're on Official Chicken Business, human! Don't bother us!"

Then they act like Divas until they are cold and sleepy, and then they all want in my lap. *L*

My Jersey Giant is the most friendliest. Also so is my Buff and Buckeye. My Colombian Wyandotte is the most skittish along with my buff brahma. I have 2 barred rock who were really friendly in their inside home, but since being outside they want nothing to do with me, Unless i give them treats.

All of my oldest girls are friendly (almost 2), they almost trip me when I'm in the yard. My PBR Pepper is probably the friendliest, and my RIR Lucy the easiest to pick up, but that is probably just b/c she is fat and can't run fast! Here's Lucy, aka Big Lou, and Pepper.


My most skittish is my Welbar Paisley, she was raised on a larger farm b/c we purchased her when she was 11 mths old, so she wasn't handled much as a chick. And we have a 15 week old OE, Brooke, who we call the impossible b/c she is impossible to catch!

Miss Paisley, she has come a long way in the 8 mths since we got her.

And Brooke, super skittish even though we have raised her from a chick.
