I lost a 3 1/2 week old chick today. She was fine this morning; then this afternoon when I checked on them when the others were running from the big hand that feeds them but she didn’t run away.. I picked her up and her breathing was fast and squeaky, I checked her mouth for obstructions because that’s what it sounded like, tried to get her to drink water and she just stopped breathing 
the sadness.
I have them on medicated crumble, their brooder is large and clean with plenty of space for cool retreat fresh water being changed daily and food a plenty.. I don’t know what happened but it’s always sad when an animal dies.. I am sure I’m not the only one..
